Physical activity has always been a huge part of my life. When I was younger I would go from sports practice right to dance classes. I liked to be active and busy. It wasn't until I had my second child that I discovered yoga and it felt like everything fell into place.

In 2011 I began my 200 hour yoga training through the Baptiste Institute. I also completed a core power yoga certification with Sadie Nardini. My pre-yoga journey however plays a huge roll in the style of yoga I teach.  Before starting my yoga journey, I was a competitive endurance athlete. I have completed over 10 half marathons, numerous ull marathons and a handful of half Ironmans and the Full Ironman in Lake Placid in 2013. A knee injury in 2014 unfortunately brought my endurance days to an end. Although I no longer compete, I still enjoy biking and running for fun.

⠀

Combining my love for a challenge and the need for balance, my classes definitely have an athletic vibe. There is often a heavy focus on strength building, but I strive to balance it out by stretching and lengthening the muscles. I love to teach a challenging power style class, however I always give modifications and cues that make class easy to follow.

⠀

I will ask you to dig deep physically and mentally. You will step off the mat with a smile, but you also might ask yourself... “what just happened?” 🤣

I have always been on the hunt for the healthiest, most well-balanced version of myself possible. I grew up in a dance studio. After leaving dance at 16, I started running and working out in gyms but it wasn’t until 2010 that I found yoga. Yoga combined my love for movement and music, and it was a breath of fresh air at a stressful time in my life. My yoga mat was where I became more honest and connected with myself.

⠀

After completing my 200 hour yoga certification in 2011 through Open Doors Yoga Studios, I also became an ACSM certified personal trainer in 2013, and later, a Precision Nutrition Level One nutritionist in 2019. I also completed a 40-hour advanced yoga training with Georgia Reath and Todd Skoglund at South Boston Yoga in 2013. Over the years I have taught all different types of yoga, to all different levels and ages, in all different settings (studios, gyms, corporate, private); and was a personal trainer for 5 years in the Back Bay and Milton. Prior to pursuing a career in yoga and fitness, I contemplated going to school for physical therapy and spent over 100 hours observing physical therapy clinics. With 10 years of working with and observing the way other people move, and a constant interest in working with my own body through pregnancies and aging, I have a deep understanding of body mechanics and how to move safely and efficiently. Since 2017 I  have also developed a regular meditation practice which  is a constant source of inspiration for my yoga classes.

I am passionate about helping others feel - not just 'comfortable' in their own skin - I want you to feel AMAZING in your own skin. Inside and out. l will help you strengthen, increase flexibility, and most importantly, listen to what your body [and your heart] has to say.

I am a Florida native who has been passionate about movement my entire life! After studying dance in Florida, Germany and France I received my BFA in Dance Performance in 2006. I moved to Massachusetts in 2007 and worked with many local professional modern and contemporary dance companies, such as SPUNK and Company, Urbanity Dance and BoSoma.

With a goal of expanding my knowledge of the relationship between dance and fitness, I first became certified as a Personal Trainer in 2008. Always having a passion for Pilates I earned my Balanced Body University Pilates Mat, Reformer, Tower and Evolve Barre certifications. As a full time trainer/instructor for the past 12 years in Milton, I not only offer support and education to help people reach their goals but also assist them in finding the sensitivity within each body movement.

My perspective on living healthfully is influenced by my own experience as a full time working mother of two; understanding that finding a balance between fitness and family is possible! After having children, I discovered a new passion for women's health specifically with pre and post pregnancy and became certified as a pre and postnatal corrective exercise specialist with the hope to help mothers embrace their bodies and all of the amazing things it can do!
